“That was unfortunate. That was kind of an interaction with our fans out in front of us,” Jones explained during a Tuesday interview. “There was a large group of Cowboys fans—not New York fans, our fans. The whole venue was brimming with excitement for the Cowboys.”
He further clarified that the signal was completely unintentional, happening amid the elation following the team’s final touchdown. “I just showed the wrong digit,” he remarked. “It was accidentally done. I’m not kidding. If you want to call it unplanned, you can. But it got resolved pretty quick.”
